We're adding a new map to the community map pool, presenting hb_abubas_h by all1aNcE. This is an easier version of hb_abubas, visually reminiscent of it, but essentially a complete rework. The difficulty is kept at the hard-extreme level, although some places require quite specific techniques. Thanks to TyIIIkA for the comments, and enjoy the game!

lxr continues to make fixes as well – in addition to fixing the bugs discovered in the latest release, it's worth mentioning the fix for the records list retrieved by the LAN pakc. He even managed to restore automatic demos.txt updates from our site and kreedz.com, although Cosy's site security turned out to be quite surplus, so I'll be updating their list manually through the new admin panel (after which it will be updated on all LAN servers using our pack). The work goes on, enjoy the game!

The release was delayed, and you'll understand why now. First, lxr comletely reworked the release system. For you, this looks like a slightly different news layout, highlighting world records and statistics. For me, it's a new release panel with improved functionality. And finally, for all of us, it's a fix for world record detection, placement in releases with checkpoints, and, most importantly, a stable logging process, so there shouldn't be any more delays due to bugs. This is the first batch of updates, addressing the most critical functionality.

Meanwhile, I was dealing with the long-standing issue of using the jump;wait script. It's banned along with all sorts of cheats, but its automatic detection has become quite a challenge for me. A year ago, I came up with a new method and set it up to run in the background with logging, and now I've finally accumulated enough data to enable the detection. This wasn't a coincidence cause in this release joym dared to use it while recording a demo. What's more, he also recorded demos with 100aa, trying to hide that fact. So, he's getting banned not only from servers, but from the entire community. But he's not the only lucky one – from the logs accumulated over the year, I've identified those who are guaranteed to lose all records and earn their permanent:

At the request of the players I've updated the lan pack, changing the behavior of the /pause or /p commands (now unpausing returns you to the point where you paused, but to prevent accidental activation the command remains unavailable when recording a demo from the main menu). Saving and restoring your position on the next map entry still occurs via the /save and /load commands. Enjoy the game!

The new community climb map hopf_kowloonkz_ez has been uploaded to us for over four months, and during this time its author Baieiiie has completely reworked it several times. Improvements have been made to both the map's structure and design, and finally all jumps have been balanced. The difficulty is considered average-hard, so the map is being sent to the Hard server (as well as EU, 100aa, and VIP). Enjoy the game!
